Two Characteristics of Overcoming Obstacles

Suffering is a part of life and each person has the capability for overcoming it. Therefore, I think the two most personal characteristics that people need in order to overcome obstacles are:

1- Self-confidence.
2- Trial without despair.

Each person has talents, characteristics and attributes that they can use when needed. Also, we have to look at the positive side in any obstacle and not just look at it as if we are all ready. For example, Thomas Edison is (who invented the electric light) life was filled with obstacles and challenges. His early life was filled with misery and poverty. He was a deaf but he did not let his disability discourage him. Also, his teacher described him as retarded and his mother took him out of school and proceeded to teach him at home. In spite of this, his mother encouraged him and gave him the self-confidence. After that, he found himself liking mechanical things and chemical experiments. He wasn’t frustrated or defeated. He had 1093 inventions and one of them was the electric light. He had tried nine hundred times. All were failures but he thought that were unsuccess experiments.

Finally, all of us we wish to succeed in life but without the self-confidence, the patience and trial we wouldn’t get the result. We have to overcome all obstacles in life and see them as experiences that us cope in the future.
