My sister ... Hindering and Success

There are many people who were born normal but later their families discover that they have a physical problem. In this essay I would like to talk about my sister who was born normal but after two years old she couldn’t walk, and her life since then has been full of obstacles.

She faced many obstacles and her life is full of suffering, but also full of overcoming them. But she is coping quite well now. When my parents realized that she can’t walk they took her to many doctors. She had Hydrotherapy and also many therapies. She had an operation on her spinal column but without any results. After that, she realized she has no mobility without a wheelchair. She was home schooled because many schools didn’t want to admit her because they are not disabled friendly. For example, when the bus school picks her up from home and drops her in school, she has to wait for one hour in cold weather till a dear friend comes and helps her up to class. She was impatient and furious with that. In spite of this, she doesn’t allow this to get her down (frustrate). She has many talents and attributes. She can write stories, poems and also she can draw. Last week, she graduated from high school with honors. Presently, she is applying for a university. She is ambitious. Defeatism is something which is not in her vocabulary.

In conclusion, I know she will suffer in her life but also she will overcome it. We are still encouraging her and we believe she will achieve the impossible. She believes in fate.

Nonconventional Medicine

Every where in the world, there are people who have never studied in a medical school but they have had experiences healing people by using natural medicine. In this essay I will define what nonconventional medicine is and my opinion of it.

Nonconventional medicine is one of the most common treatments in many countries of the world, and many people prefer to use this kind of therapy. First, nonconventional medicine is synonym with alternative medicine and there is no specific definition for this term because each country has different definition depending on the medical traditions of the country in which it is used. Therefore, I can define this term as a physical therapy system depending greatly on herbal medicine for treating diseases through fasting, a macrobiotic diet, acupuncture…etc.

Nowadays, some medical schools have begun teaching this kind of medicine in their curriculum. For that reason, many people don’t prefer conventional medicine because physicians in this school often give patients medicines which contain a lot of chemical substances. In addition, the immunity system will not be strong when the body has been accustomed to chemicals. Also, the nonconventional medicine is safe with effective results and is not costly. For example, when you have a cough and sore throat you don’t have to go to the clinic but just drink fresh orange or lemon juice with honey and you will feel better after a few days.

In short, if you often use nonconventional medicine it may protect your body against diseases and strengthen your immunity.
Two Characteristics of Overcoming Obstacles

Suffering is a part of life and each person has the capability for overcoming it. Therefore, I think the two most personal characteristics that people need in order to overcome obstacles are:

1- Self-confidence.
2- Trial without despair.

Each person has talents, characteristics and attributes that they can use when needed. Also, we have to look at the positive side in any obstacle and not just look at it as if we are all ready. For example, Thomas Edison is (who invented the electric light) life was filled with obstacles and challenges. His early life was filled with misery and poverty. He was a deaf but he did not let his disability discourage him. Also, his teacher described him as retarded and his mother took him out of school and proceeded to teach him at home. In spite of this, his mother encouraged him and gave him the self-confidence. After that, he found himself liking mechanical things and chemical experiments. He wasn’t frustrated or defeated. He had 1093 inventions and one of them was the electric light. He had tried nine hundred times. All were failures but he thought that were unsuccess experiments.

Finally, all of us we wish to succeed in life but without the self-confidence, the patience and trial we wouldn’t get the result. We have to overcome all obstacles in life and see them as experiences that us cope in the future.

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH

There are thirteen steps that I hope it very useful for anyone wish to improve and develop
(her or his) English language, it took from Web site which is “www. esl.about.com” and I tried to simplified as a clearly points.

1. Remember that learning a language is a gradual process .
2. Define your learning objectives early: What do you want to learn and why?
3. Make learning a habit. Try to learn something every day.

4. If you study each day for 10 minutes English will be constantly in your head. If you study once a week, English will not be as present in your mind.
5. Choose your materials well.
6. Vary your learning routine. dont just study grammer.

7. Find friends to study and speak with. Learning English together can be very encouraging.
8.Choose listening and reading materials that relate to what you are interested in. Being interested in the subject will make learning more enjoyable - thus more effective.
9. Relate grammar to practical usage. Grammar by itself does not help you USE the language. You should practice what you are learning by employing it actively.

10. Move your mouth! Understanding something doesn't mean the muscles of your mouth can produce the sounds. Practice speaking what you are learning aloud. It may seem strange, but it is very effective.
11. Be patient with yourself. Remember learning is a process - speaking a language well takes time. It is not a computer that is either on or off!
12. Communicate! There is nothing like communicating in English and being successful. Grammar exercises are good - having your friend on the other side of the world understand your email is fantastic!

13. Use the Internet. The Internet is the most exciting, unlimited English resource that anyone could imagine and it is right at your finger tips.

During The storm

Last week when I was at home ( My apartment in 27th floor), there was a thunderstorm and very strong winds. It was a terrible time because my window came off but I luckily I caught it. So, I saw two trees fell down on the street. For this reason, I recommend people to make sure to close all doors and windows throughout storms and winds.

First Time In Malaysia

This is the first time in Malaysia. I'm staying in Penang. I have seen most of the city. There are lots of spectacular scenery : green trees, coconut trees etc.. So, if you want to come to Penang you can take a flight from the capital, Kuala Lumpur. The ticket costs approximately RM 500 by Malaysian Airlines.
I recommend that you change your local money at the airbort before you leave.
I prefer to collect the map of Penang at the airport. It 'll help you to get know to the places.
